Welcome to Ida B. Wells Middle School! We are a social justice schoolwide enrichment model (SEM) school that prioritizes providing a well-balanced, rigorous, and loving learning environment for students while also engaging and developing our students as change agents for our community.
Established in 2019, with a founding cohort of 6th grade students, we are growing our school community by a grade each year and will be a 6th-8th grade middle school in school year 2021-2022. Thank you for taking time to learn more about our school community and to our current Wells families and community members, thank you for your support, partnership and trust!

Principal's Message
I am humbled and honored to have the opportunity to serve the Ida B. Wells community as its founding principal. Throughout my experience as a teacher, coach, and leader, I have deeply believed that our role as educators is not only to prepare our scholars for the academic rigor of college and beyond but also to develop citizenship and leadership skills that empower our scholars to be agents of change for their community and our world.
